Choose The Best KitchenAid Stand Mixers
Jan 28, 2012I understand that you get what you pay for, but right now I’m willing to sacrifice (slightly!) on quality if it means the price will be lower. I still want something that’s of a fairly good quality. What are some brands that make stand-up mixers beside Kitchenaid? I really like the pink Kitchenaid stand mixers, but I’m looking for something a little less pricey.
KitchenAid Artisan Series Stand Mixer – Empire Red
Cuisine art, hamilton beach, sunbeam, creative cookware, kalorik. Some of these names and other names have a hand mixer that snaps onto a stand to use either way. They are inexpensive and work just fine. If you buy a Kitchen Aid, you will be an OLD lady before you’ll need another one if you will ever need one. Pay the price, you won’t regret it.
I am happy with it so far, but I am wondering how this particular model will last in the long run. What is the difference between the different Kitchenaid stand mixers models? I recently got a Kitchenaid Classic Plus stand mixer (It is the cheapest one out on the market and is only available in white)
Higher wattage motors will be able to mix stiffer batters and doughs. There is a regulator in the Kitchenaid that keeps the beater moving at a constant speed no matter how stiff your batter is – this makes the motor work harder. For a stand mixer – wattage equals power. It would be pretty difficult to get a mixer motor to burn out with normal kitchen use – but I have heard of it happening in commercial kitchens.
Are the KitchenAid stand mixers on sale?
Check out the sales on the advertisers here, they are some of the best online. If you’re looking at one of those liquidation companies, be careful. The liquidation company comes in and raises prices before discounting them. I would do a little research on prices before going to a going out of business sale. Often when a company is gong out of business, a liquidator buys all the remaining stock and sells it for the company that’s gong out of business.
Which KitchenAid Stand Mixers are the best value?
I am looking at kitchenaid products. I have a kitchen aid stand mixer. Kitchenaid is good. But you have to get one where the top flips back, not the ones where you lift the bowl up to meet the mixer head. I got it at Costco and saved about $60 off what the department stores are asking for them. I have the one where the bowl lifts up to meet the paddle (or any attachment) and I love it. Look for sales at this time of year to save you some money. Hobart and KitchenAid are the standards to the kitchen. Don’t cheap out though, get an upscale model that will really knead the dough!
Help with choosing KitchenAid Stand Mixer? Can anyone recommend a good model KitchenAid Stand Mixer? There are so many to choose from, I do not think I need the most expensive model, but I am not sure all the differences between the Artisan series and the others.
I happen to love the flip-top (had it 10 years without any problems). Maybe it’s the recipes I use, but after borrowing a friends 600 watt, I found it a pain to get the bowl on and off after a while. I have a 300 watt that is perfect for everyday mixing.Handles double cake and cookie batters.
